My Latest Review of a Product/Shopping Experience: 

P.S. I love you DVD featuring Hillary Swank and Gerard Butler is an awesome romantic comedy. I would categorize it more of a drama than a comedy though. You do laugh through your tears, but this movie definately pulls at every heart string! (Military wives - beware! You'll cry through the whole movie and love it the whole time!)

The plot takes you down a "typical young marriage" road, the reactive wife, and the "I don't know what I did" husband - which will have you laughing for sure. Then on to the enduring love a marriage requires, and the regret if something happens to change it.

A must see film - everyone needs a good cry now and then! For the men, it will pay off in renewed appreciation and affection for you - if just for a  little while! :)

Juno featuring Ellen Page as a typical teenager with an attitude and an unplanned pregancy is a humorous and entertaining DVD.  I thought this script was well-written and encompassed all the real-life adolescent emotions and thought-processes a teen would experience.  Scenes of "Juno" just being a typical teen with her friends, family and adoptive parents (Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allison Janney) without all the cinematic heavy drama usually experienced with films of this subject was definately refreshing.

I'm pretty convinced this is a film bordering on the "chick-flick" or "teen" category and would seriously doubt if the typical Dad would enjoy receving this DVD as a Father's Day gift.  I would recommend something which doesn't surround him with what most Dads tend to avoid anyway - teenage daughters.  (Just a little humor there!)

This film will pull at Mom's hearts as they watch Jennifer Garner and Ellen Page both deal with what life holds for them both. A good DVD to watch with the older teenagers of your household - they will find it very laughable.

American Gangster featuring Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe, as well as the "Best Supporting Actress" nominee, Ruby Dee is an entertaining movie. Denzel Wahington plays the role of an intelligent entrepeneur/ruthless gangster during the Vietnam war. The film is based on a true story. I thought Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe both had a brawny appeal to them.

Supporting actress Ruby Dee played her role very well and actually helped tremendously in pulling the film off as well as carrying her co-actress, Lymari Nadal through the most dramatic portions of the movie. Lymari Nadel's performance was disappointing to say the least.

I liked the movie, have yet to be disappointed by any films featuring Denzel Washington or Russel Crowe. I recommend American Gangster but also caution against the violence featured in the film. I wouldn't recommend viewing the film with an impressive teen for sure!

I can perform all of my spring shopping on an Amazon Associate site this year - what a completely relaxing way to shop. And, the peaceful envrionment is so easy after the kids have all gone to bed! Internet shopping was "invented" for stay at home Moms!

I really recommend shopping on these associate websites and downloading the movies from Amazon - who says you can't enrich your family experience and spend more time with your kids because of the internet? Seriously, I save HOURS of time!
